This past weekend Mark and I had Paeton overnight. We totally enjoyed having her with us!! It gave Mommy and Daddy a little free time, Jodi at SNC for alumni weekend and Marlaina at home regenerating.

Saturday was a busy day for Paeton. We spend a good part of the day at Great-Grandma's for a late Christmas celebration where she played with her cousins. She seemed totally at ease with the chaos at my mom's. :) We left GG's house to put her down for a nap; she fell asleep in the car on the way home. 2 1/2 hours later nap time was over and after a snack she got dressed for church. She did amazing at church, we sat in the 3rd pew from the front where she could see all that was going on and when she became bored or fidgety she colored and nibbled fruit snacks. After church was over she ran around like crazy in the church and from there we went to West End where she gobbled up the pizza! When we were ready to go home she took off for the arcade, that’s where all the kids were. She was mesmerized by the stuffed animals in the box. She stayed awake on the ride home although she seemed a little zombie like. Once home she got a bath, colored the tub and splashed. :)
I lotioned her up, got her PJ's on and then off to the rocking chair where we read a book. I rocked her for a little while and then put a very sleepy Paeton down for the night. Not a peep out of her until about 6:30 the next morning.

Mark was already up and I was just getting up when Paeton woke up crying. Mark rescued her and we all went to the sun run to cuddle while Mark and I had coffee and Paeton Orange juice. Grandpa made her blueberry pancakes for breakfast which she loved.

After cleaning her up (that syrup was sticky) we all went downstairs to play. We got out the balls and the babies and the books and the matchbox cars and her favorite, the disc shooters. I would shoot the discs across the room and she would run after them. OH she also liked the train…it runs on batteries and makes train noises but it doesn’t run on the carpet so we went into the back of the basement with it. Oh my gosh did she like it back there! She ran around like crazy! After play time we went up stairs to get dressed for the day and wait for daddy to come. The train came upstairs with us and I showed P how to be a bridge for train. For snack she had some orange pieces and corn chex cereal. (New cereal snack for her!)
